WALNUT CREEK – San Francisco State's Iris Tolenada has been named the Molten/California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 15-21.

Iris Tolenada became the Gators’ all-time leader in assists last weekend after recording a pair of double-doubles in SF State’s five-set marathons at Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East Bay.

Against Cal State Monterey Bay, Tolenada posted team highs of 48 assists, 20 digs and three aces to go along with two block assists as the Gators rallied for a 3-2 victory.

In a narrow defeat against Cal State East Bay the following evening, the Antioch native handed out 55 assists and collecting 23 scoops for her fifth straight double-double and 13th of the season. 

In two matches, the Gator setter totaled 103 helpers (10.30/set), scooped up 43 digs (4.30/set), while serving up four aces and finishing with three block assists.
