Monnie Davidson-Mays, Chico State
WALNUT CREEK - Chico State's Monnie Davidson-Mays has been named the Wilson/California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20.
Davidson-Mays had a career weekend in the Wildcats road victories at Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The senior guard scored 15 points and nabbed six rebounds in CSUC's 73-67 victory over the Golden Eagles. In Saturday night's win over the Toros she poured in a career-high 18 points after making 7-of-12 from the floor and three-of-four from the free throw line, all while pulling down seven rebounds on the night.
In just a combined 50 minutes of action, the Oakland native averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds a game, while tallying four steals, an assist, and a block.
