Saturday Women's Basketball Recap

WALNUT CREEK - Cal State Stanislaus' and Humboldt State's women's basketball teams were back in action on Saturday evening.

Humboldt State improves to 8-3 overall and remains 3-1 in conference play.

Senior, Lisa Petty led the Lumberjacks once again with a career-best of 29 points.  Elle Anderson also had a career-night with 18 points.  

Kelly Kime guided the Lumberjacks scoring attempts with nine assists on the night.  Kime also led HSU's defense with 11 rebounds on the night.

Cal State Stanislaus declared their first win of the season after coming off of the NCAA required week-long basketball dead period.  

The Warriors captured the win on their Military and Veterans Appreciation Day event.  The event welcomed all past and present faces of the military as the Warrior family showed support to each one of them with various presentations throughout the night.  

Briana Cotton led the Warriors in their offensive efforts with a game-high of 19 points.  Deven Brown followed closely with 16 points on the night.  

The Godde sisters were the defensive force for CSUS with Lauren snagging 13 boards and Erin grabbing 11 of her own.
