WALNUT CREEK – Sonoma State's Amanda Llerena has been named the Worth/California Collegiate Athletic Association Softball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 11-17.
The freshman from San Jose earned her first two CCAA wins of the season after throwing two shutout games against San Francisco State.
On the weekend, Llerena did not allow a single run or walk and offered just six hits in 11 innings of work. She had an outstanding start in the 5-0 series finale, pitching a complete-game seven innings, while allowing just three hits and striking out five Gator hitters.
