WALNUT CREEK – Four California Collegiate Athletic Association softball teams were in action on Friday afternoon.
Cal State Monterey Bay postponed their doubleheader against Holy Names. The Otters will resume play on Sunday at noon.

Cal State Dominguez Hills was the only CCAA team to capture both contests played on Friday afternoon. Starting pitcher, Lauren Harper guided her team to victory after striking out 14 batters in seven innings of work, while allowing just one earned run.
Cal State Dominguez Hills was unstoppable at the plate in the nightcap, recording a 19-run victory over Simon Fraser. Leading the Toros offense was shortstop Adrianna Sanchez with five hits, four runs, and six runs batted in. Brittany Brenner was perfect at the plate, connecting for six hits, three runs, and three rbi's on the afternoon.
Sonoma State split on the first day of the Desert Stinger Tournament with a loss against Mary and a win against west region opponent, Central Washington.
