Decensae White, San Francisco State
WALNUT CREEK – San Francisco State's Decensae White has been named the Wilson/California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 18-24.
The senior guard averged a double-double in the Gators' 2-0 weekend, with wins over No. 4 Cal Poly Pomona and Humboldt State.
White started the weekend off with a 19-point effort, which included hitting the game-winning shot from over half-court at the buzzer to edge, conference leading CPP, 57-55. Defensively, he added a game-high of 12 rebounds to his Friday night performance.
He finished the weekend with 13 points and nine boards in the Gators' home finale 79-61 win over Humboldt State.
In 67 minutes played, the Pacifica native averaged 16 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, while tallying five assists, three steals, and a block.
