Sunday Baseball Recap
WALNUT CREEK - Four California Collegiate Athletic Association baseball teams wrapped up their conference weekend series' on Sunday.
Cal State East Bay recorded a 3-1 series win after defeating Cal State Stanislaus, 8-0 in their finale. San Francisco State escaped Cal State Monterey Bay with a 6-1 Sunday win.

The Pioneers hosted the finale and held the Warriors from scoring a single run on the afternoon. Starter, Sean Becker, is now 2-1 after pitching a five-hit complete game. Becker offered just one walk on the day, while striking out eight Warrior hitters.

Four Gator pitchers -- Paul Moeller, Jack Jorgensen, Jack Veronin, and Taylor Wade -- collectively allowed the Otters to just one earned run.
Leading SFSU's offensive efforts was once again, the designated player, AJ Piano after hitting three-for-five on the afternoon. Grady Espinoza was two-for-two with a run scored and a run batted, while Dillon Meyer connected for two hits and scored two runs. Espinoza and Meyer joined two others on the Gators staff in collecting two walks on the day.
