Purpose of the CCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
The mission of the CCAA SAAC is to enhance the total
student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting
student-athlete welfare, maintaining athletic integrity, acting as
a liaison between student-athletes and the administrations, and
fostering a positive student-athlete image.
The CCAA SAAC meets twice a year. In the fall, the SAAC
President and SAAC Advisor from each institution attend the two-day
meeting format, which includes a professional development session
and a review of NCAA proposed legislation. In the spring, the
outgoing and incoming presidents attend the meeting, which includes
a community service activity.
