Cal State Stanislaus SAAC Members Ring Bells for the Holidays
TURLOCK — Members of the Cal State Stanislaus
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee took time out from their
prepartions for final exams and served as bell ringers for
Salvation Army this holiday season.
Working on a rotation schedule, SAAC board members and
representatives, participated in community service in front of
Raley's near the university campus on Monday night. Pictured above
are Alycia Wagner (women's track and field), SAAC president Heather
Overholt (women's soccer) and Jeni Cunha (women's track and
field).
The Salavation Army kettle drive is well known around the
world, particularly during the holiday season for volunteer bell
ringers greeting patrons in front of local grocery stores and
shopping centers.
Other Cal State Stanislaus student-athletes, including
Warriors from the volleyball and cross country teams, are also
giving up time to ring bells for Salvation Army this
month.
