SEASIDE, Calif. – The Cal State Monterey Bay
Student-Athletic Advisory Committee representatives got into the
holiday spirit by drawing personal holiday cards for the United
States soldiers who are serving their country
overseas.
“I think anytime we can find a way to thank our
service men and women, we should jump at the opportunity,”
said SAAC secretary and softball outfielder Angelina
Orozco. “These holiday cards were a small but
personal and fun way for our SAAC reps to shows Otter Athletics
supports our troops.”
CSUMB SAAC will be sending the cards to Soldiers'
Angels campaign of “Six Months of
Christmas” in Pasadena, Calif.
Soldiers' Angels began when military mom Patti Patton-Bader
discovered that her son's fellow soldiers were not receiving the
homefront support they needed. It quickly spread from a mom and her
circle of friends supporting on army unit with care packages, to a
worldwide organization with hundreds of thousand of volunteers
supporting Americans service members of every
branch in a myriad of ways.
