CCAA SAAC Holds Successful Canned Food Drive

WALNUT CREEK - The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a successful canned food drive during the month of February.

The project was designed to raise awareness to the prevalence of hunger in communities surrounding CCAA institutions, which included collecting cans and providing the donations to local food banks. The project resulted in the CCAA collecting a total of 2,415 cans, with Cal State L.A. leading all conference institutions by collecting 740 cans. 

It is the hope of SAAC that the canned food drive will become a annual event.
