CCAA honors Cal Poly Pomona Bronco Athletic Association (SAAC)

POMONA – The California Collegiate Athletic Association honored the Cal Poly Pomona Athletic Association (SAAC) as its highest contributor and its highest dollar amount raised per student-athlete to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for the academic year 2008-2009.

Assistant Commissioner Carol Rivera presented the honor during CPP’s February 26 basketball game against San Francisco State.

The 2008-2009 Bronco Athletic Association raised more than $4,000 by way of a year-long effort including fundraisers such as:

• Make-A-Wish: Rock the Runway- Concert and fashion show
• 2nd Annual Dodge ball Tournament
• Recycling program
• Make-A-Wish Star Sales
• Penny Wars
• Car Washes
• Bake Sales
