Adriana Calva Races to CCAA Runner of the Week Honors
SAN RAMON, Calif. – San Francisco State senior Adriana Calva has earned the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honor for the week of Sept. 18 through Sept. 24.
Calva impressed with a fifth-place finish in the field of 123 at the SF State Invitational. She raced to a time of 21:47.6.
"We were really pleased with our team's effort today. This is one of the best performances we have had in the past few years," said SF State head coach Kendra Reimer. "We are right on the tail of some really great teams and our women haven't emptied the tank yet."
The Gators will return to action on Oct. 7 at the Triton Classic.
