Wildcats' Hannah Dorman Selected as CCAA Runner of the Week
SAN RAMON, Calif. - Chico State senior
Hannah Dorman has earned the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honor for the week of Sept. 11 through Sept. 17.
Dorman set a new standard for Division II runners on the UC Riverside Agricultural Operations six-kilometer course, finishing 15th overall and first among all non-Division I and post-collegiate club athletes at the UC Riverside Cross Country Invitational Saturday.
Dorman’s time was 21 seconds faster than the second Division II runner to cross the line, Cal State San Marcos’ Natalie Rodriguez.
Racing for the first time this season, the senior crossed the line in front of the top finishers for Division I squads such as Alabama, Long Beach State, San Diego State and USC. The Wildcats return to action on Sept. 30 at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento.
