SAN RAMON – Chico State junior outside hitter Olivia Mediano earned her first-ever and the program's first since 2014 California Collegiate Athletic Association Player of Week nod after leading the Wildcats to a 3-0 week, including Conference wins over Cal State Monterey Bay and Cal State East Bay.

Mediano, a Palm Spring product, provided the bulk of the Chico State offense as the Wildcats secured three straight sweeps.

Mediano racked up a combined 38 kills, posting a .290 hitting percentage while averaging 4.22 kills per set. She also collected 21 digs, four service aces, four blocks and three assists.

She began the week with a 15-kill, 10-dig performance Monday against non-Confernce opponent William Jessup, then led the Wildcats to a pair of victories to open conference play, delivering 14 kills in a sweep of Cal State East Bay Friday and nine winners Saturday against Cal State Monterey Bay.

Her weekend was highlighted in CCAA's opener against the Pioneers as she smashed 14 kills in 25 swings and committing just two errors for a stellar .480 hitting percentage.
