Sonoma State's Courtney Seda Earns CCAA Player of the Week Honors

SAN RAMON – Sonoma State junior setter Courtney Seda snagged her first-ever California Collegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 24-30.

The Santa Rosa product led the Seawolves to a 2-0 weekend, which included significant road wins over Stanislaus State and CCAA North Division leader Chico State to clinch a CCAA playoff spot for the second-straight season.

Seda handed out 13.1 assists per set, helping SSU to a .248 team hitting percentage in the two matches combined. She also averaged 3.2 digs per set, posting double-digit digs in both contests.

In Friday's 3-1 win over the Warriors, Seda dished out a weekend-high 51 assists, while also totaling 10 digs and one service ace. Then in Saturday's sweep of the Wildcats, she added 41 assists with 13 digs.
