Coyotes' Jayann DeHoog Named CCAA Volleyball Player of the Week
SAN RAMON – Cal State San Bernardino setter Jayann DeHoog claimed California Collegiate Athletic Association Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 17-23.
DeHoog averaged 10.82 assists per set and totaled 41 digs, six blocks, five kills, and four service aces as the the Coyotes snagged home wins against Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State LA, and Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Friday, in a five-set victory over Cal State LA, DeHoog was outstanding, notching her fifth 50-plus assist night this season, dishing out 53 assists against the Golden Eagles. DeHoog also totaled a season-high 22 digs and five block assists.
The sophomore from Bakersfield led the week off with a 32 assist, 13 dig effort in CSUSB's 3-0 win over the Broncos Tuesday night. Saturday, against the Toros, DeHoog concluded her stellar weekend with 34 assists, six digs, and three service aces in her team's eighth sweep of the season .
