TURLOCK — A steady rain in the Central Valley resulted in the cancellation of Saturday's Mizuno Best of the West Invitational that is being hosted Cal State Stanislaus.
At Pedretti Park, City of Turlock crews are working on the fields to prepare them ready for play again on Sunday. A revised Sunday schedule will be posted later today on the Cal State Stanislaus website.
Eleven games of the BWI were completed on Friday after a two-hour, 15-minute delay. A totaled of 11 more games were scheduled for today.
In the only other action scheduled on the day, Cal State East Bay's season-opening doubleheader against the Academy of Art was postponed due the inclement weather.
