Commissioner's Office

The California Collegiate Athletic Association opened its first fully-operational Commissioner’s Office in the San Francisco Bay Area suburb of Walnut Creek in July 1998. The CCAA office was located in downtown Walnut Creek before its relocation during the Summer of 2006 to the Northern part of the city.

Walnut Creek is an urban upscale community of 65,000 situated in the Diablo Valley 25 miles east of San Francisco. Perhaps best known for its civic events, dining and shopping, Walnut Creek’s economy is driven by local entrepreneurs major corporations and investment services.

Follow these directions to the CCAA Office:

To get to the CCAA office from northern California: From Interstate 5 southbound, take the Interstate 505 south to Vacaville. At the interchange, take Interstate 80 west to Interstate 680 south. Take 680 south over the Benicia-Martinez Bridge. Take the Treat Blvd./North Main St. Exit and follow the signs to Treat Blvd. Go over the freeway overpass and once you cross Oak Road, the office building is on the right. Turn right on Jones Road and enter the parking areas on the right. Drive up and park in the Urban West parking garage. The office is on the second floor in Suite 285.

To get to the CCAA office from southern California: From Interstate 5 northbound, take Interstate 580 west. Take interstate 680 north to Treat Blvd. Turn right off the freeway and once you cross Oak Road, the office building is on the right. Turn right on Jones Road and enter the parking areas on the right. Drive up and park in the Urban West parking garage. The office is on the second floor in Suite 285.

From San Francisco International Airport: Take Highway 101 north to Interstate 80 east. Take Interstate 80 east over the Bay Bridge and stay in the right lanes. Follow the signs for Highway 24/Walnut Creek (on your right side). Take Highway 24 east through the Caldecott Tunnel for 15 miles. Take interstate 680 north to Treat Blvd. Turn right off the freeway and once you cross Oak Road, the office building is on the right. Turn right on Jones Road and enter the parking areas on the right. Drive up and park in the Urban West parking garage. The office is on the second floor in Suite 285.

From Oakland International Airport: Take Interstate 880 north to Interstate 980 east. Follow the signs for Highway 24/Walnut Creek (on your right side). Take Highway 24 east through the Caldecott Tunnel for 15 miles. Take interstate 680 north to Treat Blvd. Turn right off the freeway and once you cross Oak Road, the office building is on the right. Turn right on Jones Road and enter the parking areas on the right. Drive up and park in the Urban West parking garage. The office is on the second floor in Suite 285.

The CCAA office is also easily accessible by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit): Take the Pittsburg/Bay Point train to the Pleasant Hill station. The BART station is directly across Treat Blvd. from the CCAA office. BART service is available to and from San Francisco and Oakland International Airports.
